THE FEAST OF TE WOLF

In a timeless frontier solitary woman ventures forth to unravel a conspiracy theory surrounding wolves that are clandestinely introduced via helicopters trough a shadowy scheme purportedly orchestrated by the European Union and the government.

On the border of the European Union, not far from the sunlit tourist shores of the Mediterranean, a disturbing story is spreading. Traces of bygone times merge with the scars of the wars of the nineties, and isolated villagers claim that, as soon as darkness falls, helicopters bring wolves from afar as part of an intricate conspiracy organized by the EU. On this harsh soil, houses lie in ruins, fields are overgrown with weeds, and many roads are impassable. At night, frightened villagers hear wolves howling. Bare survival is at stake.

Amid stories of conspiracy, Ana — a determined civil servant — trying to open the villagers’ eyes plunges into a world full of suspicion, prejudice, and secrets. But whispers say she herself is part of the conspiracy. Despite her firm denials of these rumors, she gradually realizes that it is the harsh reality, marked by severe social and economic isolation, that provides fertile ground for conspiracy theories to grow. In time Ana makes a decision that irrevocably changes her life and binds her forever to the fate of this enigmatic border.
